'Momentos do Porto XVII'
‘Momentos do Porto 1’ is an original watercolour and mixed-media painting on beautifully heavy (300gsm), fully archival, French cotton paper.
It is It is A5 in size (5.8 x 8.3 x 11.63 inches or 14.8 x 21 cm).
This painting was created during my 2019 trip to Europe when I was swept away by the beauty I found in Porto, Portugal. The faded glory of this town, famous for the tiled exteriors of their buildings and gilded Baroque churches inspired this series of abstract watercolour and mixed media paintings.
The flourish found in each image is found everywhere in Porto- painted on tiles and in the heavily decorated churches. And the splashes of gold found in the richly decorative interiors of this city’s churches made a big impact on my artist psyche.
These small paintings on paper are a brilliant way to own a piece of original art that is simple and inexpensive to ship no matter where you are in the world. Each painting is signed in gold on the front, with the full title, date and signature on the back in pencil
As this is a mixed media painting, we recommend that it be framed under glass or Perspex. As this painting is common dimensions, it will fit many frames available at retail stores. The images shown here are the Mossebo range from Ikea.
