‘SOUL SIGNATURE’ florals & abstracts
Welcome to my ‘Soul Signature’ series.
This collection of original paintings is comprised of two groupings- ‘Soul Signature Abstracts’ and ‘And Soul Signature Florals’. They include both small works on paper, huge works on canvas, and lots of sizes in between. I’m so thrilled to share with you these spontaneous, abstract expressions of my soul.

The Inspiration
Every now and then an expression emanates from my brush that is completely unexpected. This happened recently with this ‘Soul Signature’ series. The colours, forms and free expression that emanate from these paintings, felt like they came straight from my soul.
Once I started painting them, I couldn’t stop! And, as it is in my job description to do the bidding of my muse, I kept going until the concept felt complete for me.
Each painting captures a moment, a feeling and my soul’s joy in a few gestural brush strokes and scribbles of my pastel. They are spontaneous, uninhibited expressions of the deepest part of my artist soul. They are extremely abstracted botanical works that feel easy and loose and my hope is that they will bring the same effect to your home.
Produced with a limited palette of warm, earthy colours, my hope is that these paintings leave you with the pure joy and feeling of a warm embrace that I experienced while painting them. They are my soul gift to you.

Soul Signature Florals
This collection comprises two groupings. The first are frothy, romantic and edgily abstracted floral paintings. My chief muse for this group were roses, the way that they softly open, then gracefully and elegantly loose their petals.
As I long time meditator, I often use the rose to visualise the gentle opening of the heart, in deep acceptance that all of life brings us. My hope is that this collection evokes that feeling for you too.
Soul Signature Abstracts
The second grouping of paintings are highly abstracted moodscapes based very loosely on my love of botanicals, particularly the very structural and unusual blooms that are native to Australia.
Painted in a limited pallet of ochres, soft salmons, yellow oxide and lots of white, these spontaneous works are a celebration of spontaneous movement and striking mark making.
Each painting evokes a ‘signature’, a record of a fleeting moment in time between my soul, brush and my beloved botanicals that are at the core of all my work.
